Mount Akagi

Mount Akagi is a dormant 1,828-meter volcano that dominates the northern Gunma landscape. Its mountain road is considered one of the most technical in Japan, with high-speed curves requiring millimeter precision. It's the territory of the legendary Akagi RedSuns, led by the Takahashi brothers.

Mount Akagi has been sacred in Japanese culture for centuries. The modern road was built in the 60s for tourist access. In the 80s, it became an elite training ground for serious drivers. The Takahashi brothers established their dominance here.
